Participate in this wonderful opportunity to have your children's talents recognized and art displayed along with art from many different cultures around the world!! And Win Prizes, too!!

In 1995 the World Awareness Children's Museum was created with a mission to foster awareness, understanding, and appreciation of worldwide cultural diversity for children and adults.

Programs include on-site interactive cultural exhibitions, the International
Youth Art Exchange (ARTex) program and exhibitions for loan, as well as
educational outreach programs, special events, membership, sponsorship and
volunteer opportunities. Find more information about these programs and how

The Museum uses art conceived through the eyes of children to promote peace

What is the Great Outdoors Art Contest?

This is a summer fundraiser benefiting the World Awareness Children's
Museum, located in Glens Falls, NY. All of the Morgan RV Resorts are
participating in the contest.

What is the theme of the Art Contest?
The Great Outdoors --examples: images of camping, landscape, flora, fauna,
family, or summertime sports activities or any other outdoor theme.

Who can participate?
Any child, 18 years and younger, who visits any of our Morgan RV Resorts in
2010 through Oct. 31 may participate in Great Outdoors Art Contest.

How many winners will be chosen?

First, second and third place winners will be chosen in three different
grade categories: Pre-K - 2nd grade, 3rd to 5th grade, 6th grade and up,
totaling 9 winners.

What are the contest prizes?
1st place winner will receive a $1000 savings bond, 2nd place a $500 savings
bond, and 3rd place a $250 savings bond in each grade category.

The nine winners will receive an original piece of foreign youth art from
the World Awareness Children's Museum's International Youth Art Exchange
Program, a Certificate of Participation and a Great Outdoors Art T-shirt and
a copy of their art submission.

In addition, the works of these nine art contest winners will be accepted
into the Museum's international children's art permanent collection for
display in exhibitions.

Images of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the three grade categories
will be displayed on the Museum website.

Honorable Mentions

30 Honorable Mentions will be chosen, mounted, and prepared for exhibition
in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place RV Parks that generate the most art contest
participants during the contest timeframe.

All Honorable Mentions will receive a Certificate of Participation and a
Great Outdoors T-shirt.

All Honorable Mentions will be displayed on the Museum's website.

When will the art contest judging take place?
Judging will take place in the Fall of 2010. Entries will be judged on
originality and creativity in relation to the theme of the Great Outdoors.

Winner/Honorable Mention Notification

The nine (9) winners and 30 Honorable Mentions will be notified by mail by
WACM by January 1, 2011.

Remaining Art Selected
Remaining art not selected for honor or display will be sent to schools
around the world participating in the Museum's International Youth Art
Exchange Program.
